As the Hurricanes blow and spin off into the Middle of the Atlantic Ocean the Oil Crude commodity traders are believing that the 2006 Atlantic Tropical Hurricane Season will not cause Supply and Demand Issues and spike the price of crude. Meanwhile, since the Middle East conflict between Israel and Hezbollah is now temporarily over and the Syrian and Iran conflicts have not yet begun we see lower fuel prices over all.
What does this mean for consumers? Well, it means a break for them to catch up on bills and it means they may be spending more for Christmas too. Lower fuel prices means greater consumer confidence in the economy and robust retail sales may be on the horizon. Although we have not heard such on the financial news yet, you can bet that; Lower Fuel Prices Mean a Stronger Christmas Retail Season.
This means a rebound in retail sales, more Christmas hiring and more purchasing agents ordering more goods for Christmas. It means more manufacturing jobs and perhaps delays in any layoffs being planned for those types of goods.
It also means a positive for the Chinese Economy, which is busy trying to strike middle ground, by pleasing its trading partners, financing partners and come to terms with its growing environmental issues and need to allow its currency to right itself properly over the next 2-3 years without breaking their economy in two. Please consider all this in 2006.
